Apple, Netflix, HBO and Hollywood actor are among the nominees for the 27th annual Webby Awards, an awards show that seeks the highest returns.
This year, the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences received nearly 14,000 submissions from 70 different countries. Among the organizations named, Lakes led the pack with 22 nods, followed by MTV with 15, National Geographic and Netflix with 14, Audible with 13 and Jos, HBO and The Washington Post with 12.
THR received a nomination in the diversity, equity and social inclusion video for Dec. THR editorial editor Nekesa Mumbi Moody.
The Webby Awards will also recognize the podcast with the most nominations and wins by category; who are in contention are Audible (13 nominations), Wondery (8), WaitWhat (7). and iHeartMedia (5).
