The Blue Angels represent the flight team of the United States of America, which was formed in 1946. The unit, which is the world’s second oldest formal aerobatic team, has impressed crowds with its high-speed precision formations, stunning rolls and incredible maneuverability. on a Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft. Since its inception, the Angels of Venice have performed for more than 500 million people around the world.
“The iconic F 18* Navy Blue Angels and F22 Raptor will bring an intense level of raw power, speed, and precision to the Great Pocono Raceway Airshow,” said Pocono Raceway President Ben May. “The addition of the MXS-RH, SU-26M and Vampire will showcase aerobatic adventures and amazing innovations that have caught everyone’s eye while defying the limits of man and machine. No one misses this show.”
In addition to the Blue Angels, each day will feature four other shows ranging from combat fighter aircraft to classics in the two-hour shows that begin at 1 p.m.
Also doing it every day;
- Air Combat Command F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team. This US Air Force unit will demonstrate the unique capability of the world’s fifth-generation air-dominant combat aircraft with several combat air maneuvers such as the power loop, split and tail slide. The F-22 Raptor’s combination of stealth, supercruise, maneuverability and integrated avionics, coupled with improved support, represents an exponential leap in combat capabilities. The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Va., debuted in 2007 and has conducted more than 250 demonstrations around the world.
- Vampire Airshows. This show is a mix of fun and education with the DH-115 de Havilland Vampire, the world’s first powered fighter jet. These classic aircraft can still perform volumes, eighty Cuban, shark’s teeth, inverted flights and speed passes through which the system is sharpened by stunning smoke.
- Catch Holland’s last Airshows. Holland will impress with his skills in the MXS-RH, a sleekly designed, aerobatic single platform made of carbon fiber and based on the popular MXS model. In flight, weighing only 1,200 pounds and weighing in at 380-horsepower Lycingentus engine, it has the ability to pull out 16 positive and negative Gs and roll at nearly 500 degrees per second. The ability to clearly, combined with the talents of Holland, allows him to allow the airline to develop unequal courses in the airshow.
- Rick Volker Airshows. Volker will take a look at the Sukhoi SU26M, which remains one of the infinitely capable aerobatic designs due to the combination of the wing’s erection at extreme angles and the huge propeller, which provides 1 ratio of static stability. The result is that Volker can demonstrate complex signature maneuvers such as giant wheels, rolling loops and horizontal tail slides, to name a few.
