The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ – it is located on the right side of the abdomen, below the liver. An important organ, the first part of which is to contract and retain bile, the digestive fluid, from the liver, and to assist it, if necessary, in the small intestine; digestion. As such, it is important to maintain a healthy bladder. However, sometimes certain problems – such as bile – block the bile duct and prevent its operation, often leading to digestive ailments.

Gallstones may cause no signs or symptoms. However, if a gallstone is lodged in the duct and caused by obesity, the following symptoms may include;

* Sudden and rapidly increasing pain in the upper, right part or center of your abdomen
*back pain between the shoulders
* Pain in the right shoulder
* Nausea or vomiting

To this, Dr Mohanty said, “Surgery might be required if the stones are uncomfortable or complications such as gall bladder infection or inflammation are created.” Cholecystectomy, which involves the removal of the gallbladder, is the most common surgical treatment for gallstones. According to special circumstances or laparoscopic or open art can be used to accomplish this. “

Natural remedies that can help prevent the formation of calculus

“While there are some natural remedies that can help prevent the formation of gallstones, there is no scientifically proven natural remedy to remove existing gallstones,” says Dr Mohanty.

Some of the natural remedies that help prevent bile formation include;

* Eat a diet high in fiber and low in saturated fats
* Drinking a lot of water
* Consuming foods that are high in vitamin C and magnesium
* Maintaining a healthy weight by exercising regularly
