Small Business of the Year Award recipients will be named next Thursday

WAUSAU-The Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce The 2023 Business of the Year Awards will be presented at 5pm on Thursday, April 13 at the Coffee Inn on Coast Mountain. The chamber announced thirteen finalists in two categories last month.
The Business of the Year Awards recognizes business growth, community engagement and innovation efforts in the Wausau area and is part of the Chamber’s annual Business Month. The cost to attend this program is $40.
The finalists in each category are:
Business to Consumer category: Accentu Inc, Amaximo LLC, Buska Retirement Solutions Inc, El Tequila Salsa LLC, In The Lite Electric, Patriot Auto Repair LLC, Restlawn Memorial Park LLC and Rivers Edge Campground
Non-profit charitable category: Christmas in July Charity, DC Everest Area Education Foundation, Hmong American Center Inc, Never Forgotten Honor Flight and Monk Botanical Gardens

The recipients of the 2022 Business of the Year Awards were New Market Lamb in the Business-to-Consumer category and the Wisconsin Automotive & Truck Education Association (WATEA) in the Non-Profit Charitable category.
“To be named and selected for this award was such an honor and one that the organization is so proud of.” said Ronald, CEO of New Lamb Market. “We will use this award as a permanent reminder of what needs to be recognized in this way.”
The Walk of Winners display is a new addition to this year’s Business Minutes of the Year Awards. Previous award recipients have chosen participants who will be honored at the event. The Walk of Fame will also be available at the Business Camera Expo.
Chamber of Commerce Month on Thursday, April 20th with Business EXPO 2023 at the Central Wisconsin Convention + Expo Center in Rothschild. EXPO Business is the largest expo room in the nation, with more than 270 booth spaces filled. The EXPO features an exhibitor-to-exhibitor period from 9 a.m. to noon, before opening to the public from noon to 5 p.m. Admission to the event is free with a business card or $10.
EXPO Business will start the mascot parade again at 1 pm and at this year’s event there will be best of show awards for outstanding exhibitors in four categories.
The EXPO will be followed by a Fun@EXPO networking event from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Rothschild. Fun@EXPO is the region’s largest business networking event of the year, providing a unique opportunity to build new relationships and strengthen existing ones. The cost is $10 online or $20 at the door. Food and beverages at the event will be supplied by the following chamber members:
