My most recent visit to Mallorca, my perennial favorite destination, took me to the neighborhood of Santa Ponça, west of Palma de Mallorca, the capital of Mallorca. This upscale residential community is set among the Balearic pines, with a golf and country club. He discovered the new Kimpton Aysla Mallorca Andreas Forbesius (Publilius Syrus)
Hotel & health hotel
This iconic Santa Ponsa neighborhood was improved with the addition of a Kimpton property that continued its decade-long run of new facilities. The Kimpton Aysla added a new reception area for hotel guests, as well as a reception area for the restaurant, spa and guest club, and two new contemporary buildings, home to 79 guest rooms and suites.
The result is a unique leisure and health destination in the Balearic Islands. Kimpton Aysla Mallorca is an elegant hotel with a distinguished spa with an indoor pool, a beauty center, an expansive gym, three restaurants, conference rooms, and a beautiful Mediterranean garden with 2 outdoor pools and a first-class tennis & sports complex.
I reach the golden hour when the warm Balearic sun lights both views with a warm fire. Jose, my friendly porter welcomes me and takes my bags. The reception room is high, full of light. Behind the panels, made from huge stones cut locally, is a piece of art, an extraordinary wall textile, by the artist Regina Dejimenez, which collects natural fibers, fabrics and wools, for an elegant wall that plays with Mallorca. Light
The charming lobby also includes a collection of ceramics of different natural colors, shapes and sizes, by the late Stanislas Carrelet, which is said to be one of the largest collections of his work on the island.
Here begins my guest’s journey.
Just 14km (about 20 minutes drive) from Palma, the hotel feels out of this world. Surrounded by gardens and pine trees and leisure facilities, it feels enclosed in an excellent health enclosure. The team reminded me that I have access to a magnificent spa and a huge gym and also to consider the facilities of Antipolis, just a practice ground for some of the world’s top tennis players, and Golf Santa Ponsa, a great golf complex. with two 18-hole PGA European courses, a 9-hole course and a driving range.
They are unmistakably Mediterranean in style, look, and feel. When I arrive at my room, open plan with a large private balcony, I immediately feel at home.
Designed by renowned local architect Guillermo Reynés, the new apartment blocks are built around central Majorcan-style patios – the building features a contemporary interpretation of the error in its center, and on the upper level, a huge roof terrace with a view to the tennis court. the courts of the countryside and the mountains beyond.
My hosts tell me that every detail throughout the property has been carefully curated to create a relaxing and peaceful environment. It certainly feels that way.
In my room, a nice cocktail is prepared to add ice and a top hand of aromatic rosemary and dried Mediterranean gold. I sit on the terrace with my feet up, sipping a drink while the warm sun shines on the light and the room glows with relaxation.
The room is decorated in medium tones and natural materials with colored covers. There are also pieces of art, from an installation above the bed, to decorative pottery from Aba Art Lab, and a rough sculpture by Pep Roig Sancho, said to be evocative of the island’s sandstone dry wall. Each part helps to connect the new hotel destination.
There is a large floor to ceiling glass door on the private balcony, which is also accessible from the shower in the bathroom, which also has a separate bathtub.
Before nine o’clock it’s cocktail hour and it’s time to head to the lively Saba Restaurant, Bar and Bodega. I had previously omitted, ‘Social Hour’ – when guests are invited to drink from the modern wine cellars, the chance to mingle with guests and taste a collection of drinks.
Saba promises an innovative approach to the heart of the Balearic Islands, with Mediterranean dishes and Asian techniques. Saba is Hebrew because it is fed and filled and refers to the legendary eponymous queen who fed a lot with generosity and wisdom. In fact, it turns into a fun and relaxed evening with a menu that is full of tasty and colorful dishes from Asia and Europe.

Spa & Fitness
The next morning I take it slower. Each room has a yoga mat, and complementary protein shakes on the island. I like to wake up slowly after a long shower in the room, listening to the birds chirping in the garden. Breakfast is generously served with hot dishes cooked to order.
But as soon as he tried to hit the spa. It is the first Maison CODAGE Spa in Spain – a 900 sqm with the possibility of a huge pool, a wet treatment area and a more glorious design, even more bespoke art, including a tranquil grain made from cut tree trunks. The institution, by Merced Laguens, was fired from the side and lit by long darkness.
Almost all here are individual experiences of tranquility, beauty, and health.
Pools & Gardens
The hotel opens to a beautiful pool and gardens, spaces rich in color, texture and light – creating perfect corners to just kick back and relax. There is also Zayt, a summertime temptation pool and restaurant.
Yet with world-class golf, tennis, and a huge gym. Am I not a little sharper? No, I draw this shrine of tranquility.
